Episode 15 : “Jacksonville”

Fringe - Fringe, Season 2 - Jacksonville

The Fringe team is called to Manhattan after a series of earthquakes hit, which results in a building that seemingly merges with another. While investigating, they find no survivors except for a man that has two sets of arms and legs and a head growing out of his chest!
Olivia and Walter begin to question him, but they can only get a few answers and details about what happened before he dies. Walter ascertains that two building — one from this universe and one from the alternate universe — have merged. Olivia is sure that Newton has everything to do with this.

Walter determines that since one building came from the other universe, another building of similar mass from their universe will have to go over there in order to establish balance between the two universes. In order to save the people inside, they need to figure out what building it is before it goes. Walter explains that the building to disappear will have a glimmer that only Olivia will be able to see. When a specific group of guests at a wedding in Brookline, MA, suffocate from the inside out, the upsetting and disconcerting crime scene has the Fringe team investigating how the toxin was delivered and targeted. As evidence is taken into the lab, it’s discovered that the wedding ceremony was a testing ground for a weaponized science experiment.

Adding to the intense lab investigation, Walter uncovers an alarming formula that reveals a link to a branch on the Bishop family tree. With the escalating threat of more deadly attacks and unexpected familial ties to the case, the Fringe team stops at nothing to prevent further catastrophic events.

Episode 13 : “What Lies Below”

A man gets off an elevator in a Boston high-rise. His nose begins to bleed and within moments of stepping onto the floor, he passes out. A bike courier begins to give him CPR when suddenly his veins begin to bulge through his skin, followed by him spewing out blood.

Olivia and Peter have started the investigation when the rest of the team arrives. While Peter and Olivia are upstairs questioning witnesses, Walter and Broyles stand outside and happen to witness the bike courier dying in the front lobby. They soon realize that what caused this man to die is a deadly virus. It is contagious and looking for a host to live in.

They quarantine the building. The four city blocks surrounding it are shut down, and the CDC is brought in. Walter tries to solve the case from outside the building. However, Olivia and Peter are still inside and possibly infected. They try to keep the witnesses calm. As time goes by, the virus keeps contaminating people and causing them to react violently. Episode 12 : “Johari Window”

Fringe - Fringe, Season 2 - Johari Window

A child is picked up on the road by a sheriff who decides to take him back to the station in order to track down his parents. The kid suddenly morphs into a deformed creature. At the station, the sheriffs try to decide what to do with him. Two other deformed people enter the station, killing the sheriffs and taking the boy.

The Fringe team comes on the scene to investigate. Walter has several theories, but none of them add up. While the team tries to uncover leads surrounding the bizarre case, these disfigured people will do anything to keep the case a secret. Walter remembers an experiment done years ago in the city. He discovers that they managed to hide their deformities from the human eye through a massive electromagnetic pulse that runs through the town. The people are actually deformed, as an aftermath from testing done in their town years ago. The pulse causes them to look normal. However, once they leave town and are out of the pulse’s reach, their true deformities show. Episode 11 : “Unearthed”

Fringe - Fringe, Season 2 - Unearthed

When a young girl, Lisa, is pronounced dead, the doctors begin the process of harvesting her organs until she suddenly wakes up on the operating table spewing out a series of numbers. The Fringe team is called in to figure out how she was revived and what those numbers meant. In addition to her rising from the dead, she also has a new-found ability to speak Russian and possesses classified information only a high-ranking soldier would know. The team comes to realize that a soldier named Rusk was murdered at the same exact time that the girl has died, thus determining that the girl is possessed by that man. The team discovers that this man is on a mission to revenge his wife who had him killed.

Walter posits that, due to a heavy radiation exposure, Rusk’s energy wasn’t completely dispended. He is thus able to possess Lisa at time of death. Rusk possessed Lisa long enough to deal with unfinished business with his wife and until Lisa is eventually able to purge him from her consciousness.

A mental patient is undergoing brain surgery by an alternate universe soldier named Thomas Jerome Newton. While undergoing the surgery, Newton and his team are discovered and flee the mental hospital immediately leaving the patient with exposed brain.

The Fringe team comes in and learns that before this apparent surgery, the patient was insane, but has become completely sane. After doing some research, the team finds out that this has happened a few other times at different mental facilities and also to WALTER BISHOP!! … Continue Reading

Episode 9 : “Snakehead”

Fringe - Fringe, Season 2 - Snakehead

A soaking wet Chinese man, Wu Zhe Lan, runs frantically through the streets of Boston searching for Ping-On Street. He finally locates the house he is looking for and urgently presses the intercom button. Another Chinese man, Ming Che, lets him in and tells him that he is the first to arrive. Wu Zhe Lan cries out that everyone else is dead. Ming Che tries to console him when he suddenly begins to cry out in pain. A tentacle begins to emerge from one of his nostrils!! Ming Che is unaffected and suddenly a multitude of thrashing tentacles begins to emerge from Wu Zhe Lan’s mouth.

The Fringe team arrives at Dorchester Bay Inlet where a Chinese merchant ship has run ashore after catching fire. Many people died trying to swim to shore. At first, they believed the victims died of hypothermia until some people were found with large wormlike creatures with tentacles in their mouths. Walter examines the creature, and it appears to be similar to a parasite found in livestock. However he has never seen it this large before or in humans. He removes one from a body to take back to the lab to study. An FBI agent finds one woman still breathing. They rush to take her to the hospital before the organism kills her. … Continue Reading

The episode opens up with police on a high-speed pursuit, ending on the top of a parking garage where Tyler Carson and two men – Hickey and Dobbins- are sitting in a parked car. The police surround the car – guns drawn-when suddenly Officer Williams begins to walk backwards… all the way off the edge of the building!!! Officer Gibson begins to turn the gun towards her fellow officers as face broadcasts fear and confusion. She shoots her two fellow officers before turning the gun on herself!

The Fringe team arrives on the scene-Broyles reports that the kidnappers didn’t have a gun and that all three bullets were from Officer Gibson’s gun. Tyler Carson was reported missing 36 hours ago, and his father works at Massive Dynamic. Walter believes the officers could have been victims of hypnosis. … Continue Reading

Security guards at Elias Cryonics-Research and Storage Company load cryogenically frozen heads onto a secure truck. A man, Smith, pulls up in a car and asks for directions. The guards order him to leave, but Smith just exits his car and begins to shoot. One guard turns out to be his accomplice and throws Smith a set of keys to the truck. Smith drives off as his accomplice is shot multiple times before being killed-what’s this guy made of?! He bleeds silver.

At the site, Broyles debriefs the Fringe team. This is the third robbery of a cryogenic facility this week. Walter begins to examine the guard’s body that was bleeding mercury. As he is taking samples of his blood, he finds a conversion device similar to the one found on the shapeshifter who tried to kill Olivia. This one, however, is fully intact. … Continue Reading

After three weeks, Olivia is finally ready to check out of the hospital. Upon her leaving, “evil Charlie” watches her go (remember that Charlie was killed by a shape shifter that is now pretending to be Charlie) whose assignment is to get Olivia to confide in him about what happened with William Bell. Walter has been investigating her disappearance and still can’t explain what happened to her during the time she went missing from her car accident and when she flew through the window. One thing is for sure: she came back with heightened senses that help her to solve the latest fringe case. Olivia jumps right back in — ready or not.

When a construction worker goes missing in Pennsylvania, our Fringe team arrives on the scene following a lead that this is the seventh disappearance with the same circumstances. While investigating, Walter secures some blue goop, while Peter talks the brusque local Sheriff, C.
